Free speach means just that. Don't let others tell you how you can speak.

| Political Correctness? Free speech. That is guaranteed in the US Constitution. But to what degree depends on who's view and interpretation of the First Amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. This means anyone has the right to assemble anywhere to express their thoughts or religion. The US government cannot establish its own religion and force it upon the people. But should allow the celebration of, display of, and expression of a religion without endorsing it. But ask a liberal and they think they have the right to speak out against anything while denying others the right to speak. Also, the left feels that any attempt to preach or spread Gods word is in violation of the separation of church and state. Which is not the case. When someone wants to pray out loud, that person should not be ridiculed, or made a mockery of. Why then can someone swear, cuss, and promote vile or obscene material and pass it off as their right to free speach? By this same standard, anyone who wants to promote God, pray, and hold a worship in public has the same right to do so. Why then are there two standards? Why do people who do the right things get villified while those who trash talk get a free pass? Why are liberals trying to silence the truth while at the same time spreading lies, slandering and libeling others, in the name of free speach? There is a rather clear double-standard here. You have the right to speak as long as you stay within the boundaries of the law, and at the same time not deny others their right to speak out. You have the right to speak as long as it is based in truth and isn't filth or crude. Free speach does have it's limitations, but in no way does it mean that political correctness should be the standard we must follow. Political correctness is another phrase for censorship. That is what is going on in today's society. Laws are being rammed down our throats that labels certain words as hate speech or insensitive. All in the name of correctness. Silencing the truth and telling us how we can talk is nothing but censorship. If you can't accept the truth, or can't stand someone who talks tough talk, you are the problem. Wanting others to be sensitive to ones feelings, taking offense to something, or just being unable to accept the facts are excuses and should not be used to try and silence others rights to speak. And as for the judicial activists that force their own laws on us, that is unconstitutional and a breach of the checks and balances that our government was set up in the first place. To be told how to speak, when to speak, and what can be spoken, is nothing but censorship. And if you are denied the right to speak, pray, or hold an assembly that is discrimination. Speak up, be heard, tell the truth, and stand up against censorship. | COMMENTARY: Abortion: Don't do it Affirmative Action Quotas And women are better?
